On Wednesday, May 25 2016, the Inspector General, an independent watchdog organization, released a report on the practices of email usage by recent Secretaries of State. Hillary Clinton has repeated for a year that her usage was “permitted”, which the report says is false, because “she had not sought permission to use it and would not have received it if she had.” (NY Times)
The report also notes several hacking attempts that even forced Hillary’s IT officer to take the server offline. These were never reported to the State dept, which she was required to do.
When people raised concerns about the server, “the Director stated that the mission of S/ES-IRM is to support the Secretary and instructed the staff never to speak of the Secretary’s personal email system again.” (pg 40 of Inspector General’s report)
Lastly, why didn’t CNN or MSNBC attempt to ask follow-up questions? She barely answers their original questions. Were they only supposed to ask one question on emails before letting Hillary go off on a tirade about Donald Trump?
